据了解，该软件可以每天升级，能够抵御最新的病毒、木马等恶意程序。微软表示，这款杀毒软件不会影响用户计算机的运行速度。
微软中国产品经理王伟庭透露，MSE软件将不会通过捆绑、提醒等方式推送给用户，用户须到微软官方网站自行下载，但微软接下来也会将对其进行一系列市场宣传活动。

前周陪刚来北京上研究生的MM购置了一台笔记本,无奈她们学校居然只能上局域网,即中国国内网,卡巴之类的杀毒软件即使装了也不能更新病毒库!微软这东西也用不了! 装瑞星吧,又太垃圾了,最后给她装了国内一免费杀毒软件360免费杀毒软件(地址:http://sd.360.cn/?a=6072)!我从来没用过,具体效果不知如何!希望管用!
这东东不一定适合中国的国情，呵呵。中国的木马都是为某个特定的程序编制的，没有普遍性。
